4/ Air-drainage
when using the engine at the first time or right after
filling light diesel oil to the fuel tank, we have to
drain the air from the fuel system
a/ Turn the fuel filter handle from “CLOSE”(C) to “OPEN”(O)
and wait about 20 seconds before starting the engine.
b/ During the engine operating, the handle of fuel filter
must be at “OPEN”(O) position. |
| IV. STARTING |
1/ Set the speed change lever to the
starting position (Fig.7)
2/ Place the handle on the start shaft and turn until
there is a feeling of compression. Replace the handle
so that it would come to the bottom center as shown
in Fig.8. Then it would be easy to turn.
3/ Pull up the decompression lever with the left hand
and turn the handle very slowly with the right hand.
After a while there would be a buzzing sound indicating
that fuel is being injected. (Fig. 9)
4/ Then turn the handle forcibly and when the cranking
gains momentum, release the decompression lever and
simultaneously turn the handle with more force so that
it world be possible to pass over the compression point.
Once over the compression point, the engine will surely
start up.
Cautions:
Do not let go of the handle. When the engine starts
to turn, the handle will automatically come off the
shaft. If the grip on the handle is released, the handle
will turn together with the shaft, which is very dangerous. |
AFTER STARTING:
- After the engine operates, checking regularly the
lubricating system. If the red of the oil signal doesn’t
change to blue or the muffler has the heavy smoke, we
stop the engine at once.
- It would require some time for the lubricant to reach
various points of lubrication. Therefore, do not put
load to the engine, but check the running condition
for some minutes. |
ESPECIALLY FOR NEW MACHINE:
The first week (approximately 40 to 50 hours) should
be the “breaking in” period. Do not overload. Do not
let in run at high speed, either. |
